This specially sharpened and honed flexible putty knife facilitates the clean and efficient removal of gum tape after the veneer skin has been glued onto the core or foundation. After scuff sanding the veneer surface, wet the surface of the tape with a sponge for one or two minutes, then push or scrape the layers of tape off the surface with the knife. Any glue residue left on the veneer from the gum tape can also be removed in this way. Maintaining and sharpening the blade can be done by buffing the edge on a cloth buffing wheel with some rouge.
*Warning* This blade is very sharp!
